Tammye ventures into the senior well-being industry with more than 15 years of business development and corporate partnership experience. She knew after her grandmother and aunt passed that she wanted to do something to change the lives of seniors for the better. So, she took a leap of faith and transitioned from Washington, D.C. to the west coast and Chicago to start Jibbr. Why? All because she had an idea and wanted to do something about it in a disruptive way.
Earlier in her career she worked for several prestigious universities promoting their College of Nursing and made viable connections in the healthcare sector. Tammye's extensive background involved negotiating contracts, sponsoring events, and generating corporate partnerships for countless Fortune 100 companies (Microsoft, Wal-Mart, Starbucks, McDonald's, Yum Brands); governmental organizations (Federal Aviation Administration, Regional Transportation Authority); and hospital systems (Carle, Riverside, MedStar, Community Health, Adventist, Sentara) to name a few.
Additionally, Tammye is known for formulating award winning, multi-million dollar business, territory, and strategy plans, including RFP and grant responses. She has helped tens of non-profits complete their Form 1023 for 501(c)(3) tax exemption filing and played an integral role in helping many organizations incorporate and turn their business ideas into reality. Tammye previously co-founded Progressonomics Excel Volunteer Group, along with being a known volunteer at: Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, Chicago Cares, Greater Chicago Food Depository, March for Babies, Hyde Park/Kenwood Food Pantry, Director of Corporate Development at Q Transport (first luxury black car service for the mobility challenged), Vice-President at The Deed Chain, and Membership Relations & Development Manager at mHUB Chicago (Chicago's innovation center for product development, a vibrant community of technology entrepreneurs), to name a few. She is a proud member of Aspire-211's Advisory Board, which grew out of a desire to reduce the victimization of seniors, dependent adults, and those most vulnerable to financial abuse through community outreach.
Ms. Brownlee graduated with her bachelor of science in international, resource, and consumer economics with a concentration in finance from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, MBA in public administration from Keller Graduate School of Management, and achieved her six sigma green belt certificate at Villanova.
Tammye believes seniors are our future and understands we cannot forget about those who have been there for us. Above all, she holds the firm belief that you should 'create the things you wish existed' and go for your dreams! Tammye is a 'positive disruptor'. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time between both coasts, traveling, and supporting innovative initiatives.
